The Adapter for the FLIR Recon M24 is a precision-machined system that comes with a dovetail interface for use with the G24. A Dovetail Shoe bolts to the 1/4-20 threaded insert in the FLIR M24, providing a low profile interface for the mount adapter.  When the adapter is not installed, the dovetail shoe is barely noticeable, so handheld operation is not impeded in any way.  The adapter arm provides interpupillary adjustment while the vertical, fore/aft, and tilt adjustment are handled by the helmet mount.  The FLIR M24 Mount Adapter can also be disassembled and reassembled in reverse for left eye or right eye coverage.
