The Wilcox L4 G24 Breakaway Lever Mount is designed to interface with various bracket-style NVG Shrouds. It allows the operator to attach an AN/PVS-7A or 7C night vision goggle to a helmet-mounted Ops-Core VAS Shroud, Standard US Army 1-Hole Shroud, or even a Norotos Universal Shroud. The L4 G24 is one of the most universal mounts in the Wilcox line because it does not require a proprietary shroud. The breakaway feature allows the operator to preset the mount for a secure lock with the shroud or to allow it to break away under stress so as to prevent injury.

I bought this for a lion's gear shroud and also because the reviews basically said this is a knockoff of a more expensive product. Turns out it is pretty dang high quality. I have at least 1 of the other types of rhino mounts, but this one feels the most solidly built. Worth the money
The only issues I can currently make since I haven't broken it yet is that 1. The fit is very tight. I had to push it in and out of the mount on my hard head vet helmet till the mount and this adapter had rubbed enough material off of each other to fit. Didn't take long, so it was likely just coating making the fit right. 2. The break away feature may not work, but I am not willing to apply enough pressure to possibly damage my mount or helmet to figure out if the adapter will pop off first. Will say from how hard I've tried tugging it off with the break away switch engaged I wouldn't be surprised if the user breaks away before the adapter does. 3. Very minor gripe, but the up and down switch doesn't want to release under tension, so when you attach helmet bungees to the adapter, you need to lift slightly when it's in the down position and pull down slightly in the up position or the button will not push in and let the arm swing. Otherwise it feels solid enough to work well even under poor conditions.
because it's a knock-off and it's probably isn't as good as a Wilcox but it is a REALLY GOOD knock-off and it doesn't cost anywhere near $500 either. So how good is it? Well I completely trust the safety of my $4,300.00 White Phosphorous Gen 3 PVS-14 to it! That pretty much says it all.
